Broker Statements
Renewal notices in the form of Broker Statements will be mailed approximately 30 days prior to the policy expiration month. The renewal premium shown on the Broker Statement applies only if there is no change in status.
Renewal Applications
The JUA requires renewal applications every year for all entities and facilities such as: professional associations, hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, free medical clinics, diagnostic centers, endoscopy centers and other misc. facilities. Unless otherwise requested, all individual physicians, dentists, and allied healthcare provider policies will be quoted based upon the information that is currently on file with the JUA. The insured has the duty to notify the JUA in writing of any change in the scope of their medical practice. Part-time supplemental applications must be submitted every year in order to obtain the part-time physician/dentist discount. All applications may be downloaded from the Forms Section of our website.
Premium Payment
Brokers are requested to send remittance for the premium less commission to the Atlanta GA Lock Box shown below. It is important that the remittance include the policy number and name of the insured so that the payment can be applied correctly. Premium is due on or before the renewal date of the policy. If payment is received by the JUA more than 30 days after the policy has expired, there will be a lapse in coverage and the policy will have to be rewritten. Please remember that brokers do not have binding authority and that payment to the broker does not constitute payment to the JUA.
If a renewal premium does not appear on the Broker Statement, it is because we have reviewed the file and determined that we must have a fully completed application before we can underwrite the renewal. Please contact the JUA Underwriting Department should you have any questions. (864) 240-5400
