MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN
I welcome the opportunity to serve as a Board member and Chairman of the South Carolina Joint Underwriting Association. Our Board has met with some difficult challenges over the last few years, and the leadership of Dr. Daniel Brake was instrumental in our success. I hope to be able to continue this trend. The staff of Marsh USA has done a tremendous job in managing our program through these difficult times Their knowledge of this industry and their corporate integrity make them a natural selection to be our managers.
The shortage of healthcare workers, particularly physicians, and the increasing requirements by regulatory agencies leads me to believe that we will be faced with increasingly complex challenges. The Board is acutely aware of these issues and we pledge to administer the JUA program with integrity, compassion, and commitment.
